This is not in reference to spouses, or mates, as they are our companions, yet far from likely the soul mate, a soul mate is a friend that brings us to our fullest potential.
Our deepest fear in seeking this is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
To let our light shine brightest we lean towards those willing to share their lives and souls with us, enriching who we are, through their passion for life and zest for seeking what makes one complete. In the process of searching out this completion and reaching out to the willing soul that can walk through life with us we become a seeker.
We find our inner strength and power, from the hand held out to us, by the individuals who find us searching, and wish to guide us along the path. How we grasp that hand and hold on to release that full power determines whether we shine, or whether the light of our soul becomes dim and we cannot find the beauty during adversity and discontent.
When we as seekers have found the one that will complete our soul that is when self doubt becomes apparent. We tend to lean away, feeling uneasy, unsure, and doubting, not realizing life is a mountain we must climb to reach the full potential within and the steeper the mountain the harder the climb the better the view from the finishing line. For we, as the seeker, cannot grasp or comprehend we need them as much as they need us. Thus we become lost in life as a commoner with just enough light to live, yet not truly living.
So while going through your everyday life, when that individual finds you, as the seeker grasp that hand and hold on tight and begin to live, for if you walk away, or wait, then you have lost the ability to exhume your true power from within, and then you never feel complete, for everyone needs someone, that someone that can inspire their soul, write upon the heart a friendship so cherished that the power and energy for life spreads and you can share it when another seeker crosses your path.
Finding is the success, yet when presented, do not move away, for your potential cannot reach fullest until it is presented and brought out by another who inspires. We must become the change we want to see. When sought and found, take notice and take hold, give it all you’ve got because you never know if there’s going to be a next time. There may be false next times yet they will never fulfill what is missing, and what we have not taken hold of cannot truly be replaced.
It is like when you come to the edge of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, and have faith in knowing one of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.
Life is about living to our fullest potential. Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: be there. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: achieve.
I have known
The overwhelming yearning
To be complete
And the temptation
To seek my completion thru finding the missing pieces in my life,
One day I long to be strong enough
To delve into the deep recesses of myself,
To brave all fears,
To win time over to my side,
And to find my completion
In that hidden kingdom
Established in me
Before my time began.
And Become Translucent
My flesh sings,
My senses open up,
I melt into the spring.
I rise again,
Death of the soul,
Only a servant.
My life finds a form
Into which it can flow.
With this strength I can fly,
It is easy to lift off
Because I am immortal.
I am still here
But I stand in the light transformed,
I cannot be restrained,
I am without boundaries.
